How do I use the bi-amping feature of my receiver?

What do we mean by Bi-amping ?

This basically means using 2 amplifiers to drive one speaker, one for the LF(low frequency) and one for the HF (High frequency).

Requirement for bi-amping operation is that the speakers are designed for bi-wiring and have the appropriate connection. This is normally two sets of binding post’s on the back of the speaker, one for the LF & one for the HF (MAKE SURE YOU REMOVE THE SHORTING LINKS ON THE SPEAKERS).

When the AVR is in bi-amping mode it will send the full range signal over both sets of terminals on the AVR to the speaker, now make sure that one pair ( red+ & black-) goes to the LF and one other to the HF.
